Country House Restaurants: A Cozy Culinary Experience in Alsip, IL

I soooooo love this restaurant!!!! The food is excellent and so is the service. Everytime I come to chicago i make it my business to eat breakfast here!!! I will be back

This was our first dinner stop on the trip, and it couldn’t have been better. Flawless, just like every other visit. The consistency here is unmatched — every plate reflects care, freshness, and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such high standards year after year, but this one truly delivers. For more than a decade, it’s been my family’s trusted favorite, the spot we rely on when we want a meal we know will never disappoint. There’s comfort in that kind of reliability. From the atmosphere to the last bite, everything feels thoughtfully done. Some traditions are worth keeping, and this restaurant is definitely one of ours. We’ll keep coming back, again and again, without hesitation.

Once again. Back home in Chicago after 4 years of living in Florida. Our first stop for dinner. It was perfect. As always. Quality. Quality. Quality. It's been my families go to restaurant for over a decade. Will return again and again.

Wonderful diner with great homcooked food. Not a greasy spoon or bar food. Very friendly staff. Good prices.

Food was truly outstanding and even though it was absolutely packed the food was fast, hot and fresh. We got skillets loaded with deliciousness and a side of the crazy potatoes that had feta, sun dried tomatoes olive oil and seasonings and OMG!!! I could eat these potatoes as a meal!!! There is nothing spectacular or unusually unique about the decor or anything but everyone is very welcoming and friendly and the manager is out on the floor checking in with tables. Will absolutely be back to try the dinner specials.

Wonderful little spot. Stopped here on a whim reading Google reviews for places nearby. So glad I did. The food we ordered was fantastic. (Try the Turkey Pot pie.) Service was outstanding. Marina was a very kind and pleasant waitress. Made our day. Wish this place was closer to home, otherwise we'd eat here all the time.

I have never been to Country House. The only way I got to visit this "great atmosphere and family friendly restaurant" had some family relatives from Montana visiting us. So all friends recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Today, I am recommending this family restaurant and giving it my reviews... The restaurant is so clean and has a great atmosphere to have breakfast or lunch. From service to great fast service. I was satisfied plus relatives where full and happy with meal. Coffee was great with great food that tasted and made us be quiet just to enjoy the delicious food. I do not know all the names. Since It all looked great. I am giving it 5 stars. Best service. Best taste. Best family-friendly atmosphere. Plus great coffee.
